Slalom Consulting this might be a total long shot, but I recently finished the interview process with slalom and they gave me a *verbal* contingent offer for an incoming contract. However, I just found out I might have to relocate to Boston soon. I would love to stick with slalom as the goal company, but wondering if I could talk to the recruiter about transferring my application to the Boston office? Any advice? TY!

This is exactly why I ended up at Slalom! (Was also looking at industry because something had to give) but was so happy to find I could actually continue consulting while enjoying real WLB. The people/culture here were icing on the cake
Been at Slalom 5+ years. Have been in both individual contributor and managerial positions. Work life balance/ general culture is amazing across both.
The number of weeks I've put over 50 hours in is in the single digits.
I've probably put in more weeks with <40 hours than >40.
Ditto this comment
WLB at Slalom is generally great. Sure you'll have some weeks where you'll need to put in the additional work, but you'll have more weeks where you put in 40 hrs or less by far. The only complaint is comp - definitely not on par with other consulting firms but it's a matter of figuring out what your priorities are in life.

I’ve heard this from a friend at Slalom too. Hope more companies take advantage of this discrepancy to steal talent to put pressure on these other firms.
