This is exactly why I ended up at Slalom! (Was also looking at industry because something had to give) but was so happy to find I could actually continue consulting while enjoying real WLB. The people/culture here were icing on the cake
Been at Slalom 5+ years. Have been in both individual contributor and managerial positions. Work life balance/ general culture is amazing across both.
The number of weeks I've put over 50 hours in is in the single digits.
I've probably put in more weeks with <40 hours than >40.

WLB at Slalom is generally great. Sure you'll have some weeks where you'll need to put in the additional work, but you'll have more weeks where you put in 40 hrs or less by far. The only complaint is comp - definitely not on par with other consulting firms but it's a matter of figuring out what your priorities are in life.

Iâve heard this from a friend at Slalom too. Hope more companies take advantage of this discrepancy to steal talent to put pressure on these other firms.
