How tough it is to survive after gaining 20+ years of experience in IT Industry.
Is it wise if we think about and plan accordingly for getting retired at the age of 45-48 (20 years of experience).
What do you think about it.

Question : I want to change career from a support engineer to sales. Is that possible ? I have 4 YoE in technical support and want to change to sales.

Does anyone have any insight into partners retiring early? I am at a point where I need to consider leaving if I am not aiming for partner. I don’t see myself working past my 40s. My partner and I are not big spenders and anticipate have enough to retire comfortably in 40s (obviously a lot can change). Upon passing, the partner told me they would hire an assistant for me since I now became an associate. Hi Everyone! I have a background in health research. I received my first offer as a ux researcher 3 (1 step below senior) which is pretty competitive compared to my former field. It is with fanduel for 120k base, 6% bonus (8% next year since I’m not starting in jan) , I believe 10% in equity (12.5% next year) total comp 130. I’m extremely grateful but just wanted to see if this was acceptable for the industry. I’m mixed methods and they want to build out their quant side. Should I accept as is?
