soo my sleep schedule is effed up, i keep trying to wake up early-ish (7am) but i’m lacking motivation and i wake up tired 😴
i stumbled upon this article that talked about this book. we always hear about the “secret” of strong leaders is that they wake up early. has anyone read this/tried it out?

Yes, but if you get slotted at director, you may not need to worry about it
MD isn’t a mandatory step. Director to partner is, on avg, 5-6 years. If you’re a workhorse and super star, it can be done in 3. They’re creating a new SM role after manager, which requires 2 years before director. So SM, D, P

OP - not necessarily. Intro of new SM role may add 1 year to partner track, but with the length of time most spend at Director, it works out to be about the same average time from Manager to Partner.
P1 so Dir -> MD -> Partner? How many years would you estimate?
SM -> D -> P. There will be an SM level between M and P. Not introduced yet. If you are interviewing now you are probably interviewing for the D level if seasoned SM.

PWC folks - have they announced when the new SM level is going to be introduced ?

Probably will add time but I wish EY would do the same. Senior manager is way to broad of a bucket, theoretically you would only make director if your on partner track
