So for the past four months, I have been on a 1099 contract with a monthly stipend. Yesterday I was informed that they realized there wasn't enough business for a full-time employee so they plan to switch me to an hourly role. It's bad enough that this job doesn't have benefits and it was already not paying enough, but after almost a year of unemployement I took it. I still can't find a full-time position anywhere, even with applying for everything. Any advice?

Thinking of making the switch to Siegfried but the comments I see on here and Reddit are not great. Can anyone share some insight? Is it a good move to make the switch from big 4 audit senior associate? Biggest concern is upward career progression and potential exit opportunities.

I have got an offer for Malaysia from HTC Global for 42 LPA in Indian currency. I have got an offer from alstom, Bangalore in hand as well for 27 LPA. I think if I get an offer in India for around 32-35 LPA, i should prefer staying in India but I need 1-2 months of time to be in that position. HTC is pushing for sending passport as they need to get it stamped. Any suggestions from anyone on how to handle this scenario?

Switching from commission to salary!

I’m considering a less sales-oriented role that doesn’t pay commission. The new role will have a higher base but lower overall earning potential.

The contrarian in me makes me think this is a decent indication that housing market will stagnate (or increase minimally) for a few years.
