So I have been told when I gave a two week notice, " You will never find a job that pays you this much." When I got a raise earlier this year, "1k is the best we can do per year. Also, you are topped out as of now. " And then I was told by my supervisor the day my car broke down on my lunch hour, " The problem in your department is you all miss too much. "

Am I wrong if I go above her head to the owners of the company? Or just find a new job. Or both?

Just start looking elsewhere. No noise. You will find better.

The "1k is the best we can do per year" sounds familiar.

How long have you been with the company?

likehelpful

Your knowledge and experiences will be valuable elsewhere. You're also likely going to get a lot more than 1k or anything they'd be offering anyway. Know that switching jobs can increase your income anywhere from 20% to 40% or even more. It will be their loss! They'll need to hire and train new staff for a start.

10 years is a long time of commitment, and there shouldn't be all this drama. They're just making empty comments.

That’s terrible. You can do better and you want to be paid what you’re worth.

I’m confused because you said you have two weeks notice which implies you are leaving the company.

If not, see if you can find a new job that indeed pays you more.

I applied at Workday on 15th May and went through 7 technical rounds of interview and received a verbal offer letter of 21LPA (hybrid)
Now apparently their technical panel "forgot" about the interview and wants to have a discussion again as 8th technical interview. HR says their joining date will be 19th September.

Hi everyone, I got hired on as entry level sales operations role back in January. It quickly turned into sales, and eventually all the sales for the small company once the head of sales left. I am happy to take on the additional role for my company, and they are going to let me. But they feel that without multiple people in a sales department the title head of sales might not be the best title. I have input in what my updated position title and salary would be. What should I ask for?

Is it the smart move to take a pay cut and clerk for a judge?

Little context: I was an ED student, full time paralegal/clerk throughout my law school experience, and a single mother. I did not take advantage of the law school extracurriculars and missed out on clerk application deadlines my final year (2020). Would it benefit me to take a pay cut as a transactional clerk by about $20k to work as a clerk for a year then re-enter firm life? I’m transactional and enjoy that line of work.

I’ve recently started work at a very young tech startup. Coming from a big law background, this was a huge change of pace/environment. I’m having a lot of trouble getting used to how unstructured the startup is. It feels like hire ups give a set of instructions then talk as if they don’t remember, or then decided rules A, B, C and D applies without being clear this was the case. Is this just the general startup environment? If you experienced this before, how did you deal with It?
