How is the work life balance in Citi?
Here is the scenario: Have 2 offers from IT MNCs and 1 from Citi. Citi's offer is the highest. Almost 5 lakhs diff in the fixed component. Although money is important, but I am also seeking a little balance with life. I was previously in ZS Associates and to be frank, life was hell. I am not looking to relive that phase again.
What are the daily actual working hours?
Shall I join Citi or let go it for a lower package offer?

Wrong idea, you want to be promoted from senior to manager within your group, managers need cred and support, none of which you’ll have as an outside hired M. I’d lateral as a senior (I did) if you hate your firm and like the people you’re speaking with at another. I got promoted quickly to M and now have a decent support system, but will likely leave for industry soon as the M&A field doesn’t interest me like it used to
I get the logic, but I feel that might come back to bite you in the hind-parts after a while.
Sure. That's an okay strategy while your career is still young, I guess. If I am going to hire someone for a top position, I would to see in their resume that they have the ability to stay somewhere for longer than a year or a year and a half. I wouldn't hire you I think I'll have to go through that process again in 18 months.
If you move upwards (B4 FDD -> good TS shop -> IB), enjoy. If you move laterally, don't abuse it or this will call doubts about your ability to be promoted
what is a top 10 TAS group
Thanks for the input everyone. I’m also thinking that I wouldn’t want to go further than Senior Manager as well. Ultimately I’d like to work internally in an VP/Director of Finance roll. Really just interested in maximizing earnings in the next 3-4 years before the switch so I can have enough for a down payment on a home to square myself away from financial security standpoint.
