Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.
TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)
TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)
Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon

Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

I guess each firm has their own policies. When I was at EY they didn’t care if I knew them personally at all. All they cared about was that the person had the proper quality and amount of experience for the role I referred them to. I referred people that I had never met in person and had gotten thank you emails from the hiring managers for helping find great candidates. If anything I feel current employees are better at screening candidates than hiring manager who may have never actually done the job.
This is exactly what I perceived it to be, thank you

Never ran into this issue OP
Have been referred and referred others virtually. Never received this response. If someone didn’t give me a weird vibe and didn’t have a horrible resume let them shoot their shot. That’s the hiring teams job.
Someone who went the extra mile to get considered for a specific role sounds like a good candidate.
Exactly! This is what my thoughts are and good to hear this verified

Never heard of this being an issue
In industry my company wanted me to personally know the person. Now at big 4 in the referral process there’s an option in the relationship drop down that is something like “online networking” as an option. They don’t care.
Why would they think so in the first place? Did your referral tell them they didn’t know you? Lol
Good question. I mentioned that I connected with them and referred them after they reached out, booked a chat, and provided resume.
I referred two strong candidates who both should both easily do well, and referred them over people I knew personally due to this. Just confused and wondering what the rationale is, not trying to throw recruiter under the bus
Yep for sure. Agree with all the responses. I’ve referred many people to CR who I’ve never met. It’s CohnReznick’s job to make the decision to hire the person or not
