So in a fix - getting transferred from USI to US consulting and expecting an offer from Amazon for a Program Manager role. Can’t figure out what’s the right move now. Key driver for transfer was so that I can stay in US after H1B expires, GC processing etc. Amazon’s WLB is probably more screwed up with Deloitte(or so I have heard), likely will have better pay, no more consulting.. but feels guilty that I might quit after the leadership support for my transfer. How do I handle this.

How does one tell their boss (owner of the company) that you are burnt out? I went through a few interviews with the Deloitte Cybersecurity for a manager role. I've been in more senior roles at competing firms. Initially I said no thanks, but after the 4th call they made an initial offer at the top pay of the manager salary range and sent me a link to the application form. It's a 20% pay bump for me. So the question is should I take a demotion for 20% pay bump? Or counter with a lateral move? Is it even possible to negotiate a higher level after interviews are done?
