This has been discussed in the bowl at length. KPMG (probably starting 3-4 years back), Pdubs and very recently Deloitte have stopped sponsoring H1Bs for new employees. What this means is they are not hiring international students who require H1B sponsorships. Don't know about others, but Deloitte will still continue sponsorsing H1Bs for existing employees.
I wouldn't be surprised frankly for them not wanting to sponsor new employees esp. since the denial/RFEs rates are > 50%
Business is surely getting affected for these firms due to H1b issues. Why don't these huge firms with billions of dollars in revenue use lobbyists to get uscis to ease off on unnecessary scrutiny and denials?
So it's not just for students but also experienced hires.
Yes. All new hires
Current employees are fine.
Slalom- some offices do- NY, Sf, Seattle that too in technical roles. Other offices don’t
Recently my friend applied and they were sponsoring for Data & Analytics Position. Can’t comment about Slalom.
Confirmed. A friend of mine started the interview process for multiple positions at both Deloitte and Slalom (Chicago) and they said they're not sponsoring anymore but to stay in touch since things keep changing.
Deloitte does. Thought only few high focus units are doing that and they are getting fixed # of slots. Experienced that first hand recently.
Deloitte does this exercise few times an year. But they can’t source projects without h1 resources.
Of course. Used to be same thing at EY. Which is why I wonder why the big 4 don't get together and hire proper lobbyists to lobby with uscis
Will they do h1 transfers if I already have h1b?
Nope. Same situation.
