So we’ve had a nanny two days a week for a couple months. She ended up being our baby sitter about once a month or so after we sent our son to daycare full time. Went out to dinner with the pregnant 🤰🏻

Mrs and my friends. Hire her for the night. All good. The next day I realize my scotch is about 4-5 fingers short on the bottle and I and my pregnant wife didn’t drink it. I mentioned it to the mrs and she says the babysitter was basically acting drunk after she left.

YES!! do you trust a drunk to be able to keep your kids safe?!

How old is she? I’m not sure if it’s that big of a factor but if it’s a teenager I would just tell her parents

Yeah definitely. She knows better at that age. Especially to be drunk in front of children.

If it her who drank it, then I would fire her

Fire her. Thankfully ours doesn't drink. I have a full bar.

Unrelated, but did you originally switch from her 2 days/week to day care due to cost (she would be too much $ full time)? And yes, time to say “buh-bye”.

We well we’re going to switch to 5 days a week once he was 1. But yeah financially it made more sense for 5 days of daycare. She actually quit about a month before because her daughter had to be at home

I am generally uncomfortable when I’m around my mother-in-law’s husband.

While he is overall a decent guy, his anger issues, yelling at his wife for the slightest issue, and insulting nature makes me uncomfortable and triggers my own anger due to his blatant disrespect for just about everyone around him.

My mother-in-law says he’s worked on things, but it’s been 10 years of this and I’m not sure I want such behavior around my wife and our kids since we’re trying to conceive soon (cont).

And is iron deficiency common during pregnancy? Any valuable suggestions are welcome. Thanks

This weekend, starting right now, try to identify the very best thing that happens. Keep a running top five. When something better happens, put it on the list.

I started yesterday at 4:00.

5. I woke up Saturday morning.
4. The roads are clear enough to travel to our first HS archery tournament of the season.
3.My dad shared some amazing summer sausage when I visited.
2. We had a child free date night
1. My 6th grade son instigated a snowball fight yesterday afternoon, we made a memory.

My gf and me call each other everytime we have free time. However lately she seems disinterested in phone time. She never initiates calls anymore and she tells me she wants to hang up in the middle of the day and not right before bedtime. We live a 4 hour drive apart. And I told her this is like living together from a distance, because I put her on the house speakers. What can I do to keep her engaged?

Hi Everyone, I need your opinion.
I met a girl 2 months into my 6month exchange in NYC. I enjoyed her company and we had fun together. She is really busy (IB) but we made time for each other. so it was late night and weekend hangout. When i was leaving to my home country in UK, we said we would try to make it work. Now that i am home, it has become difficult. I have lots of friends (girls), therefore i am always with them when not working, and she doesn't like it much as my ex is among (TBC)
