I knew consultants who talked s*** about everything and everyone. Clients, coworkers, bosses, underlings, didn’t matter. I’d personally shrug it off and just ignore it until they either get to know me better or I’m fully onboarded and still underperforming
Don’t get paralyzed with fear, it’s better to execute wrong than not do anything. And don’t worry about your manager, you can try to not work with them again. I’ve had a few terrible managers, I just told them we had different styles after the engagement ended and never had to work with them again. Still got positive reviews 🤷♂️

Why not schedule a quick feedback conversation? No reason to mention the shared screen - hopefully that was just a a mistake and not a passive aggressive move.
Can confirm that it was an honest mistake. I think I’ll just schedule recurring informal check ins with my M to get a pulse check on how things are going
up in a new org and new job function? I don’t want to be confrontational but also it doesn’t make me feel great as someone taking a risk by switching job functions during COVID….
Do a check in. Say I want to ensure all items are checked off prior to PTO. That’s all you can do.
