Rising Star
Re Florence - both are great and are across the street from each other but St Regis is an awesome property (especially if you have status and get upgrades / free breakfast). Ask for a room on the river side of the building. Daily champagne sabrage happy hour in the bar is a great way to start a night

Thanks!
Have not been to either in Florence, but I chose the stinking AC while my coworker was at the st Regis and was so jealous. I saw his room and it was amazing.
Regarding Rome: on another trip I stayed at le meridian a little out of the city and was very pleasantly surprised. I liked being in a quieter neighborhood, but still was walkable to most the touristy destinations - was quite close to the Vatican if you went in one direction, or the trevi fountain/Spanish steps in another. Rooms were decent as well, and staff was very nice.

Thanks! I think we want to be in the thick of things in Rome. Wasn’t sure if it was worth it to do the St. Regis there too or if some of the other options would be just as good. This autograph collection hotel has a Michelin starred restaurant in it.
Leaning heavily towards the SR in Florence though as I’ve never stayed at one.
St Regis. They treat elite status well. Since you’re ambassador and on honeymoon, I would not be surprised if management upgrades you to the top suite on property.
