If you’re fully employed at Deloitte when you have your baby you 100% get the entire family leave of 16 weeks!
When you get your Deloitte laptop, go on DeloitteNet and type in “family leave” so you jump to that page and it will tell you all about minimum service.
I believe you have to be employed 30 days but I’m not pulling out my laptop for you on holiday break. You’re on your own for this research. Enjoy!
I know for a fact because I started 3 weeks Before having a baby and was entitled to the entire leave with no additional strings attached. No need to negotiate anything. I would at most confirm with the recruiter/OBS you’re working with but feel free to PM if you’d like.
Yup. No problem at all. Over communicate with your teams/coach and take the time to spend with your spouse and new baby. You can take the 16 weeks in any 3-day increment within 52 weeks of the birth. June is actually one of the best times to actually take off a nice amount and not feel like you’re dropping out on your teams.
For example, I took a month when the baby was born, then 2 weeks after 10/15 and will take another 3-4 weeks before my 52 window is up
@EY take note!
Doubt it. Wasn’t eligible at EY
In my opinion doesn’t change much. At Deloitte male and female are treated equal for maternity/paternity leave (we call it family medical leave). Everyone gets 16 weeks fully paid from day 1 of employment. The only condition I believe is if you leave the firm within 30 days of taking family leave you have to pay it back.
You may be eligible for the time off from the Short Term Disability. But no more.
Yes
Thanks for all the answers guys <3
You can call +1-800-deloitte to ask.
Do you have to pay full amount of the medical insurance during the leave? I mean not just the employee portion but also pay for the portion that Deloitte used to pay for you. I heard my colleagues talked about it but not very sure.
No. Firm continues to pay its portion. You get your normal paycheck.
Yes you can! My friend was in similar position and she took the entire leave
