I am always genuinely confused when I see posts like this where people have accepted offers and are asking basic questions about culture and performance management.
I start at kpmg on Monday. Made the switch for the $$$
Or simply a reset. Your value may be most appreciated elsewhere sometimes.
Depends on the office. What office and what is important to you regarding culture?
Yeah, I have no idea. It depends on your service line, group, your manager, your clients, etc.
Going for $$$ is short term thinking. Everyone comes back to average over time. No firm cam can pay top dollar to everyone. They buy you in, then adjust you back to everyone else. LIFO when it come to separations too...most expensive first unless you blow the doors off.

Can you please share why you are going from EY to KPMG? I have an offer from KPMG as well and not really sure if I should take it.
Like any firm, it really depends on your office and your team. I think overall you should expect it to be a little more laid back.
Oh, and make sure you like to golf
I went from EY to KPMG. At that time KPMG ate their young. I ended up staying nine years, it was harsher at that time but I liked it.
BDO 1 @ - hopefully not the case anymore.
Senior Manager 1@ - the reality is it is a change of environment. Although it is client and team based, but future among big 4 could be different. Wouldn't hurt to know more.
