I’d leave if I were you. You have an offer for 155k. No guarantee you’ll get promo. A bird in the hand, no?

like

^ Similar situation as A3 recently. If you’re planning to leave consulting soon, don’t think the move is worth it

like

Go. And then refer me.

like

Take me too!

like

If the work is right and you want to grow there then go. If the work isn’t right then reinventing yourself for $15k probably isn’t worth it. Better to show you’re promotable and take the exit ops M will provide.

like

If you’re going to make 155k as an associate at OW then there’s clearly more upward trajectory for you there... imagine what you’d make as an M at OW!

like

Care to update my number?

Definitely jump for the bump!

like

Leave. OW has better exit ops

like

What practice? I am dying to get into Oliver Wyman.

I see 1 comment saying exit ops at M are good and the other says it’s not that great. May I ask when is it good and when is it not? Curious

What’s your longer term goal? 2 years 5 years? This will impact the right move

YOE?

Go go go

How many years do you have at ACN?

I would jump! Worst case scenario you can boomerang

If you want to leave consulting soon (1-2 yr), I would stay and make manager. If you want to stick around consulting for a while and like the idea of a smaller strategy shop, then jump to OW. But factor in your team, because people matter, and your work as well. Pay should only be one factor imo

Go for the 155k, forget the title. That will came later with another raise.

Is the grass always greener. I’m super happy in my current job. I like my coworkers, I get to do the projects that I want, and I have an all around good support network. I have also built my reputation up enough to the point where I have a lot of flexibility and can control how I work. But sometimes it bothers me knowing that I could leave and get a significant raise. Reading fishbowl it seems like everyone chases money regardless of how happy they are currently

Hi there! I’m being vetted for a position that I’d have to relocate for, they mentioned they’d pay for relocation. This would be my first role in senior leadership, and I’m just looking for tips on negotiating pay and other components of my offer letter. I’ve previously had an issue where I was brought in way under value, and it took 2 years to get a benchmarking raise. I just want to position myself highly upfront this time. Any ideas other than base pay I could and should negotiate? Thanks!

How much does a home grown consultant at Accenture in Strategy and Consulting in Chicago typically make? Started at Accenture as a CDP analyst right out of undergrad for context, would hopefully get promoted at the end of this year. I currently make $85K. I am trying to get a better idea of what the consultant raise is so I can evaluate if I can afford my rent raise at the end of the year. Additionally, can this be negotiated?

At Cisco and haven't gotten a raise since I've been here in almost 3y. I didn't pursue it the first 2y because I had close family deaths and poor performance. Now I'm outperforming my peers and ready to look elsewhere. Word on the street is that my org is getting stiffed pretty hard during focals. Any chance of bringing an outside offer to the table and getting a raise? Promotion? Just curious what your experiences are like. Managers, tech leads, whatever..

I also feel selfish for not wanting to spend that amount since he will have to buy a flight ticket and pay for a hotel. It sucks because I just want a dinner date but he’s putting in a lot of time and money to meet me. Should I just buy the ticket?

Really starting to wonder why people in PA are so underpaid? Hearing my friends, who work in other other industries, talk about their higher salaries almost makes me sick. They work 9-5, have less of a workload, and WAY more of a work/life balance. Not here to complain, just think this is a major issue in our industry and something to consider since turnover is supposedly at an all time high.
