Hi Folks, I have recently joined Thoughtworks as applicable developer consultant. Currently I am having 2.7 year of experience. Just curious to know following information 1. Hike cycle and average hike percentage 2. Criteria for promotion to senior consultant 3. Average Hike percentage during promotion
Thank in advance for the reply ☺️

I’d leave if I were you. You have an offer for 155k. No guarantee you’ll get promo. A bird in the hand, no?
^ Similar situation as A3 recently. If you’re planning to leave consulting soon, don’t think the move is worth it
Go. And then refer me.
Take me too!
If the work is right and you want to grow there then go. If the work isn’t right then reinventing yourself for $15k probably isn’t worth it. Better to show you’re promotable and take the exit ops M will provide.
If you’re going to make 155k as an associate at OW then there’s clearly more upward trajectory for you there... imagine what you’d make as an M at OW!
Care to update my number?
Definitely jump for the bump!
Leave. OW has better exit ops
What practice? I am dying to get into Oliver Wyman.
I see 1 comment saying exit ops at M are good and the other says it’s not that great. May I ask when is it good and when is it not? Curious

What’s your longer term goal? 2 years 5 years? This will impact the right move
YOE?

Go go go
How many years do you have at ACN?
I would jump! Worst case scenario you can boomerang

If you want to leave consulting soon (1-2 yr), I would stay and make manager. If you want to stick around consulting for a while and like the idea of a smaller strategy shop, then jump to OW. But factor in your team, because people matter, and your work as well. Pay should only be one factor imo
Go for the 155k, forget the title. That will came later with another raise.
