Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones?

Depends on your exit strategy. I did strategy consulting FS and join corporate strategy at a global bank. From a TC perspective, good move as my salary doubled when I moved. From a career perspective, your path most likely would be pushed to move into a Business Line on prod or distribution - if this is what you want, do FS.
On the other side, if you do non-FS, your options are wider as you can go for a P&L directly. From a TC PoV, unless you go with tech, salary could be lower than FS (not by much).
Finance after corporate strategy is always an option but not one that I didn’t want.
I’m in Toronto so FS made more sense for my career.
Thank you this is helpful!!
