Hello fishes, I have offers from two different companies and both are offering same amount of CTC - 18LPA (YOE: 3.2) . Company names are Pristyn Care and Xiaomi technology india pvt. ltd .
Now for Pristyn Care I won't have to move out of Gurgaon (I'm from north India). Xiaomi is calling me to Bangalore. Rest all the benefits seem similar.
In terms of learning and job security and all the aspects considered, which company should I join?

I think you're SOL. Hindsight is 20/20 but that's why it's best to wait until the money is in your account before putting in notice

A bonus is a retention tool (despite what our firms like to say). If they can’t retain you, then they aren’t going to pay you.
Lol rookie mistake.
Even most rookies instinctively know not to do this.
Did you really not wait until after you got your bonus to put in two weeks?
Chief
Oh no, my friend.....you should’ve waited to give notice until that $$$ hit the bank.
Why didn’t you consult with us first?!?!
The real takeaway from this should be: don't put a two weeks notice! That's an archaic concept from industry. If you're fired, you're let go immediately. Follow suit.
I think D1 was being snide. Not totally incorrect though - if a firm takes advantage of you whenever it wants (including not paying an earned bonus) they don’t really deserve any better.
Same goes for any company which can’t push back a start date 2 more weeks. If they wanted the best person for the job, they would wait the two weeks for that person to become available. Refusing to just screams that they will take any warm body to meet their needs in the short term. Do you really want to work for a body shop?
New hires run into delays all the time - visa transition issues, relocation issues, delayed handoff issues, family emergencies. It’s worth a minor inconvenience in the short term to work through those with the best person as opposed to the long term effects of hiring someone who isn’t.
Just tell them “it’s a prank, I was kidding.”
Pro
look up your company policy on bonus before submitting your two weeks is a good place to start

Then you train employees to leave with 0 days notice... lesson learned
You *might* be able to work HR for it if it’s already been communicated/the policy is favorable. Typically your manager doesn’t really have much say besides you did a good job or not. Would be super petty to do that and I’d blacklist them, and probably the firm, forever.
I'll speak with HR regarding this.

Ouch, expensive life lesson - bonuses aren’t yours until the money hits your account.
You blew it
Go back in time and wait to give your two weeks until after the bonus check clears. Unless you have a sales/commission contract, bonuses are rarely earned income that need to be paid out. Your manager is likely correct.
My start date is the week immediately after and the recruiter said I couldn't push it out anymore.
@IBM I wanted to be courteous and give two weeks because my team is going to be underwater soon and I wanted to help with the transition. Unfortunately look where that got me.
How much money are we talking about for the bonus? Don’t get too caught up if it’s not that much, and appreciate your new career and a life lesson in timing resignations.
And next time round you’ll have to go for the sign on AND the last year bonus to make yourself back whole.
Sorry to hear it OP. Harsh lesson to learn, but I’m sure you posting it here has helped some people avoid making the same mistake.
I have seen this before and technically the company has the right to take it away. However, If bonus was effective April 1 for example but paid out April 15, and you put your notice after April 1 but left before April 15 or even after, then there is a case for you to be paid out even though the check hasn't hit your account yet, especially in states like Colorado where you now have this protection.
Ouch yikes, nothing you can do. Good lesson to learn! Gotta wait til the bonus payout before telling your manager you’re leaving unless you’re willing to forgo the bonus, it’s all about timing
Whoa spill the firm plz. Workday?
Negotiate with HR (and senior leadership if need be). Say you worked hard last year and earned the bonus for last year. You’ll still be employed when the bonus is paid out. The company kept delaying the payout but you wanted to do the right thing and give an appropriate amount of notice so the company isn’t in a bind. Given your prior positive experience with the company, you’d expected the company to similarly do the right thing by you and pay out the bonus you’d earned and been promised based on your performance in the prior year and you were quite surprised and disappointed to be told the company now won’t pay the promised bonus. It’s leaving a bad taste in your mouth and coloring your experience and perception of the firm, which you can’t imagine they want. How do we fix this? If they still dig in their heels, you could mention feeling compelled to let your school career services and Glassdoor readers know. If necessary, involve a lawyer. If necessary, I suspect a letter from a lawyer would likely be enough to get them to pay up without expensive litigation. (NB: I am not a lawyer.) If they try to keep you from discussing the bonus payout with other coworkers, you could also have grounds for an NLRB complaint.
