I know you can deduct a portion of a room if only a portion is used for business, but what about splitting expenses based on usage instead of area?

Anyone have a good standing desk that isn’t 1,000 dollars?

Does it look bad having a couch in your home office? It’s behind me so when I’m on camera/calls, you can see it about 5 feet behind me. Not one a bad looking one but a modern chaise style with a plant or something near it.

Could anyone recommend a regular (stationary) chair with excellent back support. I'm thinking of something like an office chair but no wheels and moveable back. Does such a chair exist? Spouse and I have to share the office where the office chair is so a nice nice chair in the dining area would be great. I've been using my dining chairs but those aren't comfy to sit in all day.

I worked at a company for 2 years, promoted 3 times and up for a 4th. However, I was sexually harrassed by an upper manager and the place became a very hostile environment that I had to resign from. It's been 2 years and I have worked at several companies that were toxic and underpaid but did not know it at the time. My daughters step-mom sent me a message two months ago, just saw it tonight. They want to pay off the future obligation owed for child support, she turns 18 in two years. Total amount is $23k. My daughter has never met him. The wife said they think “it would be in the best interest of both parties.” The attorney generals office told them they don’t accept a lump sum payment, so not sure what I can do to facilitate this. I’m 29, my 401k is 100% invested in the S&P500. Vanguard is telling my investments are too aggressive and that I should have 13% in mid/small cap stocks and 30% in international stocks. Thoughts on addressing emails as "Hi guys" or "Hi ladies" if you are of the same gender as those you are addressing? To me (as a woman) being addressed as "Hi ladies" seems more personal than something like "Hi Team", but I can understand if others may feel uncomfortable with it (i.e. if they don't like being called out as a man/woman, since gender is a more sensitive topic in general, etc)

I’ve seen a lot of media portray it as “people who refused to leave after the peaceful LEGAL protest finished” (implying that this was illegal and not peaceful) but... why were they at central station then? Maybe they were waiting for trains to go home?
