I told you to fly JetBlue already!
I'm about to try delta, I'll let you know how it is!
P1: 🤜
Depends where you're going to from LAX.
@P1 I'll upvote your comment if you stop being smart about it 😉 There are still a lot of schedule requests I can make happen 😇
@EM1 LGA or BOS
I'm doing JFK > LAX and it's pretty good on AA
If you do LAX-JFK on AA you'll get the much nicer A321T equipment. Into BOS or connecting into LGA you'll just get standard domestic planes.
Delta is decent operationally but their route network doesn't help me much personally and their miles are derogatorily called "SkyPesos" for a reason. Not that AA or UA are in any way great.
Transcon upgrades are always hard during consultant rush hours unless you have too tier status, and even then first may sell out before any upgrades happen.
*top tier status rather. Odd that FB doesn't seem to be allowing editing of posts within 5 minutes for me today.
Thank you P2. At what time do you typically fly out of LAX?
I have top tier status, that's the frustrating part (I mean Exec Plat, not Concierge Key).
Well I currently am based in PHL, though I get out to LAX at least once or twice per month so I'm likely doing the opposite of you so may not be relevant. Generally I do PHL-LAX Sunday evening then off to some other city on a Tue evening red eye or Wed early AM flight, frequently to JFK. I have had a decent upgrade rate flying Tue nights but that's not nearly as hard as other days.
Makes sense. I am flying more "peak" times, which certainly doesn't help.
Delta! Always.
