McCombs is the best MBA program in Texas. But congrats.
The op was not addressing categorically "best" program (private or otherwise) in TX.
For all of you on the Hazelwood act thank you very much for your service. You deserve those degrees. You certainly paid for them.
Today I learned A&M has a graduate business school.
Mega oof!

McCombs accepts the Hazlewood Act as well.
That’s interesting. I wonder why
This comment excludes Ch32 and Yellow Ribbon yall.
Note 1: Most enlisted burn most or all their Ch33 benefits on undergraduate school particularly STEM majors due to having to take "remedial" math (college alg, right, pre cal) before they even take Cal 1,2 &3, PDE, DE and all the Cal based science courses which may require taking the algebra based variant before hand.
Note 2:Experiences may vary between enlisted and commissioned peeps
Note 3: because of Note 1 and 2, state funded expemption programs (Hazelwood Act) come into play and NOT ALL state schools, specifically in TX (McCombs, looking at you), do not accept Hazelwood. This leaves people having to fund it themselves (-~100k -value of lost wages) making any school that accepts Hazelwood (for MBA) fall under the "best schools for MBA PAID FOR by Hazelwood" a distinct category OUTSIDE of a "best school" list.
Does that clear things up yall?
PE1 DM if you would like to learn more, I don’t wanna dox myself.😬
I throw BerkeleyHaas into the ring. It’s public and covered entirely by the GI Bill, and you get a fat cost of living stipend of like $3,500/month. And campus family housing is really reasonable.
It’s not Texas, but the caliber of program, being fully covered, and that $$$ in your pocket is hard to beat.
All I know is that for vets Texas is probably the best state to live in because you get so many benefits from your service. I don’t know if other states are like that, Texans that’s get higher dollars when they buy a home with VA benefits, there’s a lot of medical, at least where I live that vets can take advantage of, free license plates, plus the education benefits.
Of course, every single penny, every single benefit is earned by those Vets, thank you.

Ross was fully covered by GI bill for me
I didn’t pay a dime for Chicago Booth - but I’ve at least heard of Texas McCombs. Can’t say the same for A&M’s program.
Illinois has the IGV but it’s only for state schools. Great for undergrad but all the well ranked programs are private. I think UIUC is probably the best ranked at like No. 63 (#trash)
GI Bill and Yellow ribbon program covered 100% at Olin, University of Washington in St. Louis. Plus housing allowance.
