The fictional scenario: Agency A loses account. Agency B wins said account. Client C asks AE to stay on business and thus Agency B offers position to AE. Agency A divulges AE salary to Agency B.
I find it highly unethical to disclose anyone's salary unless they have given express permission
This is all very normal. Other than the agency divulging salary info. That’s illegal
Sorry, I meant ask Agency B for the salary you want, regardless of what they know
Ask the new agency for the same amount of money. They can match it or not, you are in a position of power, the client loves you! Good luck
You lost me a ‘A'
Yes possibly AS1, but the fact they release your private information without prior written authorization still stands. So you just accept it? Again posing the question to all.
It’s against all kinds of HR rules to provide your salary to someone outside of the organization. We are IPG-owned and can’t even share salary with other IPG sister agencies. This is all kinds of wrong
Are they obligated to disclose salary? That seems odd.
The salary part
That’s fucked up
I would definitely not make any LESS. That’s all that matters to me #GetMoney
So now... What would you do? Is this normal practice, HR pros what do you say?
