A lot of companies restrict hours as a way of avoiding paying benefits. It's shady, but they get away with it because people need any work they can get. People are being squeezed, and it looks like the economy is just going to get worse as this year goes on. If people can find part-time work they might as well take it.

Yes, they sure aren’t even in my Gig job that I do on the side for a little extra cash. They’re trying to make me do more and less amount of time and I clean for a living. It’s crazy and then if you go over a little bit you don’t get paid the time that you’re working so it’s so messed up the way the world is working right now. You just gotta find your center and balance and you have to also look at the variables financially you know when you take this all into account I know you’ll come to some conclusion usually when I am flustered like I’ve been lately. I just turned to God take a day off and reboot and then I’m gonna go OK this company gotta go no more gig in here. You know part-time close to full-time job here little side hustle you knowyou just gotta create a balance and find your new Center and I wish you peace and luck on that Joeny

Totally get the concern. Some companies are leaning on part-time roles to cut costs, but if it’s a stepping stone to full-time, it might be worth considering, just gotta be strategic about it.

Another issue is that a lot of people in full time roles are still needing more work to make ends meet. That doesn’t help the scarcity of roles, either full or part time. I know too many people that have to work a full time job and then need to find something else to tread water financially.

Just keep applying for a stable full time position !

For those working in house, how much “from scratch” document drafting are you doing vs. reviewing and revising “outside documents”. For example, if your company wants to enter into a joint venture company with another entity, are you drafting the company agreement “from scratch” or is it based on internal forms? Or are you getting outside counsel to do it?
