That’s awful but there is a very good chance your manager is reading this here. No one else does this. Your manager is a joke. Sorry, run away the first chance you get

Are you doing something dangerous that would require such a ... complete and thorough keep-alive status update? Are you working with fissionable material or maybe a deadly pathogen?

Oh EY. That’s unexpected. Peeps there are generally not this crazy
I have 9am, midday, and 4 PM myself. I’ve voiced this as politically correct as I can myself and still have all these pointless comm meetings because my PM is inept
Whoever the manager is on this account... If you are reading this... Please change the way you manage. As a fellow manager this is the easiest way to lose team buy in and drop morale. And you are burning your teams productive hours for no reason.
But this seems like such a big 4 thing to do 🤣🤣 not too surprised
Have you spoken up? Maybe saying "the current check in pattern is disruptive for reasons abc. Let's change to a pattern like xyz, which would have benefits def."
Only works if you schedule a meeting for the discussion.

When you hire the right folks, you can trust them to do their day jobs without having to check in all of the time.
Quite frankly, your manager’s apparent need for three cute little status updates every day is a bit sad…
I can relate. Manager on my current project has like a bazillion touch points throughout the day. Meetings, emails, pings on Skype. I’m dying over here.
We need to keep increasing velocity on our one day sprints!!! We're behind our projected burn rate by ten minutes, and have one item blocked!🔥😱💩
Are you me?
Ask her if you can log 2 hours daily for these meetings
Just start charging the 11.5 hours she’s expecting you to work every day and see what happens. Her meeting invites are approval for overtime.

Regular 7am meetings are bad, but you can get a lot done with this model. I would not do it for longer than a week though.
Sounds like crazy ex not manager
