Have you read your companies policy on going client side? It sounds like you are currently engaged with the client. To move sides might be against the agreement signed by the client
Tread carefully.
If you have someone you can trust in the company to discuss it with maybe go that route but don't burn bridges. Could get the client and you in trouble
Yeah, we don't prohibit folks from voluntarily leaving to open client positions. There have been a few sketch scenarios where it's obvious the client poached someone, but our firm wouldn't retaliate because of existing SOWs.
I’ve heard of contractual provisions against poaching the staff of the other party (which may go both directions), but typically they bind either firm against actively pursuing/recruiting people from the other. The ones I’ve seen / heard of do not prohibit accepting applications, and do not bind the employee from applying. Worth finding out what you can, but if it’s as I suspect, you may be fine.

Consulting firms never prohibit poaching because they don’t want to upset their client. Go for it - but then turn around and be nice to your former firm.

Primary Question: Are you on an audit engagement, and/or is this an audit client?
Could you be considered a covered person?
Nope, Strategy and Ops, non-audit
