I recently interviewed with MITRE for a systems engineering role to make the move from Leidos where I feel underpaid for the work I do and for my experience ($85K). I have 4 YOE, a STEM degree, and soon will have a Masters Degree. I’m looking to make around $120K in the new role at Mitre. Does anyone have any insight into comp there? This would be in the DC metro area. Does $120K seem reasonable or am I dreaming?

Apply, and interview for the job posted. Express your interest and sell your skills realistically. If they want you at that level, they'll make it happen.
It may be in bad faith to have an interview knowing you won’t take the job. But if I were you I would apply and immediately reach out to the hiring manager saying you are interested in joining the team but at more senior level. Then if the recruiter reaches out tell them the same. And see where it goes from there. Just don’t lease them on.
I also recommend not taking the job just because it’s your dream company. They are often not always what you think and there is no reason to stunt your growth IMHO
Ask how firm they are with salary, see if they will negotiate
