These CPA societies are such a scam trying to chase ppl to become a member for expensive prices. Why would I pay $300 to socialize with other CPAs??? They should be paying me

Has anyone who's worked in HR, Finance, or another role with visibility to compensation information been able to use that as leverage for salary negotiations?

To put it bluntly, I know certain people with less experience and a lower performance rating are getting paid more than me due to my role working with payroll data. I suspect this was due to the fact that I did not counter offer when I accepted this role, which was a few months ago, and now I regret it.
