E1, by leaving consulting
I’m in the same position as you, same experience as well. If you’re a person who likes variety and challenge at work I’d suggest staying FAR away
I was in a similar situation, my issues was more on the hourly billings BS. I landed a job as Controller for a Non Profit Private School and so far I am enjoying. Slower pace, but still quite busy. I working 35 hours a week and still performing well within the organization. I do not regret the consulting hustle, but after 6 short years I was done with it.
