Was whitelisted by HKS last year (wanted to pursue an MPP in combination with Wharton MBA I was accepted to earlier). Plan to reapply this year as I deferred Wharton anyway. Any tips from replicants? I mean, if I was whitelisted - to what degree should I change my essays and strategy now? 👀

I have no idea what I’m doing. Life is a little overwhelming, and I want to keep growing as a professional but in a different direction than where I’m at right now. Switching careers and industries is so difficult. Props to those who’ve broken into their first job after a career change!

Anyone go from SaaS / licensing sales to services (strategy & implementation) sales?

I'm thinking of moving from large cap tech to large cap consultancy firm to help build the resume and round out my experience. I enjoy and do well in licensing, but I'm fairly young in my career (<6 years) and received a great offer to make the move.

Be honest, do you see yourself staying in the game to make partner?

I studied finance in undergrad and had a couple of internal audit internships. I only started a few month ago but I never saw myself doing IT Audit and I don’t like it thus far! Would I need to get a CPA in order to move into audit or something more finance/accounting oriented like FDD, Valuation, etc.? (Still need to get to 150, thinking of doing an online MAcc)

Has anyone successfully moved out of claims into underwriting? I have been doing worker’s compensation claims for about 9 years now as an adjuster. I would really like to get into underwriting but have not had any success so far. What are some other roles I can transition to?

Hi folks need your suggestion here it would help me i guess . I have been working as manual tester for 3.5 years. I tried learning coding and felt difficult so gave up on that. Right now i feel i should switch to a customer facing role because i think it's a good fit for me and also it seems quite interesting and engaging. Have on offer in hand with a better company for the role customer support specialist L3 . Should I take up this offer ? Or i can stay in Manual Testing my whole life ?

I have 4 years mobile sales experience and 3 additional years of niche sales/ customer service experience. I’m feeling stuck and every career/job move fells it is a step backwards. Rejected by HBS and GSB post interview... feeling pretty low. Was hoping I'd get one after interviewing. Not sure what I could have done differently. 750 GMAT, >3.8 GPA from top 10 UG, multiple promotions, strong recs, well-known employer. The process feels so random... I know there are so many qualified candidates and so few spots but I wish they had seen it in me.
