This experience is back in Ipsos and i want to validate whether it's a DE&I issue. I got married to an army personnel when i was working there and covid happened. Company made an overnight rule that people will work from base center and could not go anywhere in lockdown. Right after lockdown they forced people to come to office. I resigned, and HR said "so you will become a teacher bcz ur husband is in the army". I felt it was stereotyping and not fair bcz they didn't want to accommodate.

A VP told me that if I don't like our new WFH policy that I should find another firm.

Maybe I should, that's okay, but the fact that his response to my concern (2.5 hour commute both ways, not what I agreed to when I was hired) was just "find another firm" really rubs me the wrong way.

Is anyone else in the middle of switching jobs? Should coronavirus be giving me second thoughts about making a move?

I may have a better offer which could be shared only next week as approvals are in process , which offers me wfh option and a little better package and my joining in the next company LTI is on 8th Nov, I am unable to push the joining date to buy some time as HR denied on the same , please suggest me how should I tackle this situation as I’m more interested to join the one giving WFH ? My professional life at the moment is far from ideal. I’ve been on quarantine (long story, but a good one) for the last seven years. Royalties from my books don’t pay the bills. My entrepreneurial pursuits remain hampered. For the interim, I’ve been looking for a remote opportunity where I can leverage my skills in marketing, sales, social media, and elsewhere for a decent sum. I have a social media presence which, in recent years, reached millions. There has to be something exciting I can do.

My wife is incredibly stressed out and unhappy in her career. It’s been affecting our marriage significantly. I just had a conversation with her where I asked her to stay home and I said I’ll fully support her. It seems like she took it well.

Hello Fishes, I have offers from Deloitte, EY & Oracle. Which one should i go for. I will be joining oracle practice in EY & Deloitte. My skillsets include oracle DBA, apps DBA, DevOps, Oracle Cloud Admin, python & bash scripting.
