Move dilemma:
Currently @ Arthur D. Little Limited Dubai as SE Manager w/ base comp of 285k $ + 10-15% bonus. Vert limited fit w/ people & projects in the region (MEI) & not motivated by seniors. Not happy w/ the job but good WLB. Very likely to promote to Pr which would include a 20-30% jump in total comp but shift to more variable
Move to MBB as PL. Projects & people are supposed to be great and he could see himself in the long run. Comp is 170k $ + 60% bonus. Will take 1.5y to move to Pr

Would the theory be that someone more competent interviewed on their behalf? That’s a bold move lol

Yup, interview fraud happens often from what HR told me
I'm invested in this story. Let us know the outcome!
This is nuts haha
Yes, it’s called a proxy - happens all the time in IT
This post has officially become more suspenseful than 2016 US elections. Lol

OP- Wow…. People are bugging you via DM about this? Report it. It isn’t fair to everyone else who is doing the right thing- which is almost everyone else. The other scammers do not deserve their jobs. They are being completely unethical, and why would any company want to have unethical, dishonest employees? There, I said it. Immediately today or Monday, report it to HR and the leader. You are doing them a favor.
I had this happen years ago. Convinced this employee interviewed and sent her sister in on day 1.
Great story actually…
After a few weeks of poor performance, I did all the necessary HR stuff for reviews etc because this company never wanted to fire people because of possible legal action.
They asked me to task her with fixing a report she was responsible for and that it would be due on a Monday so that she could have documented failure.
Task was assigned Friday and SHE offered to work over the weekend. We granted her office access as well.
I happened to have my bachelor party in Atlantic City that weekend so I went on my trip (whole other story) and after a fun weekend my crew went to the hotel brunch buffet.
One of my groomsmen was a coworker and noticed a woman with a pair of thigh high boots across the restaurant. This employee wore these boots 4x a week and they were very distinctive.
He says “hey look, someone else has [employee name]’s boots!]
We continue our meal and go up for seconds when all of a sudden she bumps into us with some guy and my friend says “ [employee name]?!?” And points at her face saying “shouldn’t you be at work?!l”
Watched this woman totally die inside.
To this day we aren’t sure who interviewed, who came to work and who we bumped into.
Yes update us please lol
Common scam people pay others to interview for them
Had this happen to me as an interviewer. Video wasn't required. Candidate aced the interview. He did so well I even indicated my suspicion on the candidate results but he was able to recite his mobile number quickly. A few weeks later leadership contacted me saying the guy couldn't pass internal project placement interviews. We set up a second interview with him and he resigned before it was supposed to take place.
Dang
following just to see how it ends
OP, anything else to share on this topic. I feel like I'm vested in this story and how it ends 😂
This entire bowl is rooting for you OP. Get ‘em!!!
Not crazy at all 😅 I will keep his future teammates in my prayers!
Wow never heard of this!! Now I get why people want video interviews
This has happened two times in my career outside of EY and the first time I was the interviewer. That time the manager, which was also Indian, asked us to train him and now he actually works at a credit company still in my industry 🤷🏽♂️ I reported it on day one
It’s been like 8 years simply noticed he progressed in my industry via LinkedIn but yes I trained him
This happened to us. A less experienced person showed up. Got rid of him after a day

Def go to HR. Does he look like the person who interviewed?
I
Am
Amazed. Did not know there was such a thing.
He’s the same ethnicity.
I don’t think he looks like the person who interviewed, but his ethnicity does have the stereotype of everyone looking the “same”.
Sounds like else George Costanza would do...
I heard this is happening. Omg

I can’t wait to hear that the guy got fired for fraud. Tell us!!!
Unfortunately, he’s still here and doing ok. Not great, but not bad enough to lead suspicion from others.
Like haircut and beard or totally something else. Maybe strike conversation and find it out
Now this is hilarious, (takes notes)
