Hi fishers! I have offer and signed contract with Deloitte UK and my start day is in the beginning of April. I need skilled worker visa, and we haven’t applied yet for that. Screening and onboarding is in progress. Immigration team doesn’t reply since reached me out 1st time. How much time does it usually needed to go through the whole process? How many days take for visa to be approved since application?Deloitte

Would the theory be that someone more competent interviewed on their behalf? That’s a bold move lol

Yup, interview fraud happens often from what HR told me
I'm invested in this story. Let us know the outcome!
I heard it happening before. Some scam IT vendors use the experienced folks for interview but then sends people who they quickly trained and took money from. You should talk to your manager and if the person doesn’t have the skills then oh well
Please give an update if this was the candidate you interviewed this is amazing! I have been doing HR for over 25 years and it gets crazier and crazier
*Update*
So I asked my teammate ( I couldn’t take it) and she said she noticed as well! but thought it was just her.
But she doesn’t feel comfortable saying anything either. 😕
please say something. It hurts other people trying to get jobs on visas by shedding bad light on us.

Yes, it’s happened before. Interview fraud is real. You should immediately voice your concerns to HR.
Deloitte uses a specific Interview platform, not Zoom. The interviews are recorded and they can be pulled up.
Ah, good to know. Thanks.
You gotta tell us what happened next!
You should definitely say something. Not only for the company’s sake and performance reasons but also for your own SAFETY.
This random person has not been vetted or gone through a background check and could be an axe murderer for all you know.
Reports are confidential. Take someone who has interviews him as well. And approach the partner and let him know as well to help have this confidential with HR. If by any means this guy is take then police will be called as well.
This has happened to my team! Working remotely though, it took us a week to figure out. Just thought he was being non-responsive at first, he would join meetings on mute and be a no-show for 1:1s..
*Update 2*
Hey guys, I’m getting a lot of direct messages. Some even claiming they’ve done this because they are horrible in interviews. 😳
Anyway, I just posted this on Wed. Yesterday was Veterans Day and hardly anyone in the office today. Hopefully I’ll have an update by next week. Yes, I’m still thinking on it. 😕
Wow so sorry people are bugging you over this and trying to give the scammers side!! Everything about this screams unethical, you are doing the right thing when you report it.

Were you expecting a partner and got a Senior Consultant instead? If so, that's normal.
Is he Mike Ross caliber? #suits
Ask him a bait question about the interview. Make it so that his response is a giveaway that he wasnt at the interview...
Either something specific only they would know if they were at interview.
Or something that wasn't at interview but you pretend it was and he fakes that it was but wasnt
but maybe the double recorded it and this fake studied the interview
**Update 3**
Yea, so… 😐.
I reached out to an old boss of mine for his input (SVP level) and he suggested I leave it alone. He said if I was at a higher level, absolutely speak up. But for my job level right now, just mind my business. If could look at the recorded interview myself, absolutely. But he doesn’t like the fact that I have to go to someone higher to just even look at the interview (I called HR and they told me a SM or higher can only request the recording), because there is a slight chance I could be wrong. Even though I’m sure I’m not.
So I’m taking this advice.
I know everyone is not going to agree. But I thank everyone for their input! 🙏

Are companies so desperate to get workers that they don’t even care if there is fraud? Just…. Unbelievable.
You need to say something to HR. My friend has his own firm and this happens all the time. He gets informed of his zoom interviews being forwarded, people join then switch out and someone else comes back into the call. It’s crazy and fraud! It will cost everyone when this person can’t perform. You only need to tell HR.
Tell us what happens!
I’m surprised no one else asked, but any update now that it’s 4-5 months later? Did the person ever get flagged/fired/or is now doing a good job?
Is it possible that HR got confused and extended the offer to the wrong candidate?
EY1: I never said scamming is not wrong. Please read what I said. Also, the original commenter has deleted the comment where he/she said most of the Indians are scammers which is not true.. that’s all my point. Just because some of the country members do something doesn’t make it correct to say that most of the same country members do that. I believe that’s where racism starts. Please be responsible for what u call out in public

You got duped. I’ve had a phone interview candidate flake, when asked for a zoom interview. Had the best pride resume, but zero Linkedin network or presence.

Yes!! This has happened and is actually pretty common 😬
