After uploading documents in Bosch First Services one week ago, there was no update from them, when I replied to them via mail - They said we will get back to you.Is this sign of getting compensation breakup or they looking for other candidates.I have offer from CGI and only 3 days is remaining to accept. What should I do in this case?As CGI has said if you don't join after accepting offer we will blacklist you.

Physicians are paid so much based on their bill rates, what they see, etc. like any other business. No doubt they’re working hard in current conditions and I thank them, but let’s not forget that a) they take an oath to help patients (let’s get the PPE they deserve) b) rough estimate of 300k for EM is great but based on production. We’ve strayed from business fundamentals to physicians saying “oh no I make less” in trying times. Yes, doctor, you make less - it’s how it works when your payor/case mix changes and that’s what you take an oath for. Either get rid of the oath and call it what it is - money grabbing - or remember the oath and work. I’m sure this will upset some, but it is what it is
Agree.

So despite what we are hearing hospitals are not overwhelmed. It is not surprising ER doctors are not busy. People are locked in their houses so there are less workplace accidents, less automobile accidents and less violent crime.
Hospitals have cancelled elective surgeries and care and being very liberal with the definition. See my separate reply below.
Hospitals are absolutely overwhelmed in certain areas. But, yes, spoke to a couple physician friends in other areas and no one has been coming in. No elective and people are wary of taking themselves into a hospital unless things are serious.
My sister works at a hospital and said their utilization is about 40% when normally it’s around 90%
Whole hospital ya been scaled back because people are no longer getting non emergency surgeries
Not sure why they can’t reroute these professionals to impacted areas “on loan”
My SO is an NP and has taken administrative days lately (paid but office work vs. treating patients) because census is so much lower in their unit. They are bracing for the surge of COVID patients in our area but it’s been a weird couple of weeks.
With that logic , when consulting folks are on the bench our salaries should also be cut down until we find a Client billable project . Ridiculous that because they are underutilized there salaries should be cut - that too not in a business as usual scenario ,but during covid . Agree on the notion that they could be re routed in some cases.
Agree - but remember what we do vs what these folks do aka life and death vs PowerPoint and tech work . I know that’s a broad brush , but my point being given the situation and the fact that we are 3 weeks into it - this is harsh!

I know a CEO of a small nonprofit hospital in the Midwest and he said his hospital is losing $6+ million a month because there are no elective surgeries and no one is coming in.
They have a couple covid patients but other than that there isn’t much going on.

This is heartbreaking, putting their life on the line and get paid less...Very noble but I wouldn’t do it. I’d rather be alive for my family. God bless them
They are overwhelmed with Covid cases but nothing else. A relative who is a lab specimen courier went from 5-6 days a week with multiple stops a day to 1-2 on an as needed basis. There aren’t many non emergency procedures being done. They put 75% of their couriers on furlough.
Once in a hundred years this issue will happen for 3 months.
