This may be a hot take, but I love working on the day after Christmas. No one else is usually in, so I can get so much done. Who else is working today?

I’m not working today but I’ve have worked holidays and I am always amazed at how much I can get done.

I'm not in today, but I've worked the day after Christmas in other years and I agree with you. It can feel odd to be in an empty office, but it's weirdly energizing. I recall feeling pretty productive in a virtual ghost town.

Honestly not worth it to me, even if it was the most productive day ever lol. I'm hanging out with the fam, chilling at home and recouping from the last couple of days. But to each their own, enjoy your productive day!

I’m with M1 on this one.

Absolutely not. It's the only time of year my extended family is able to gather. I love having this time off with them, and to unwind and recharge for the new year.

I hear you on that. I usually take it off and this year was thinking about it and decided next year I probably wont

I’ve been at my company for 10+ years. I’m not happy with the culture but have flexibility I enjoy, seniority for the time I’ve been here, and pays well. An new job opportunity came up as a Tax Manager but in a different industry which could expand my skillset in different ways, but is not as flexible and the pay is 20k lower. If I stay, I will be Director in few years. What will look better on a resume in the future, continued growth in 1 company or experience in more than 1 company?
