Those of you recently flying Delta from JFK internationally - how early did you go to the airport?

I have awful experiences with JetBlue from this year, being 3 hours early almost didn’t cut it re. checked bag drop off.

How does that even happen? Long line to check bags? I never show up more than 90 mins before departure. 50 mins for domestic flights.

like

That is frustrating. But yeah that’s how check in desks have always been. Nothing new there.

2.5 hrs if you have line cutting privileges (Pre or Clear). 3 if you don’t.

like

I do have Pre-check, but I’ll just play it safe, and go there 3hr early. Thanks

It depends on when you show up. I know this is a terrible answer but sometimes a lot of international flights are trying to take off within a tight time band and sometimes there is only 1.

I assume delta would be worse since they don't have self bag drop (Unless that changed recently) while that at least cuts down the line for jetblue a bit.

You can Google departures for the day for a given airlines and see if there are a lot of international departures when you are looking to depart.

Get there 3hrs before — checked bags in sky priority line last Friday night and made baggage cutoff by 5min (need to get bags in 1hr before flight) - I was there 2.5hrs early and waited an hr and half, the line was rioting and a ton of people didn’t make their flight, so def get there early!!!

Aaargghhh 😫

Tried this Santorini retailing for $40. Very concentrated but can’t say I was blown away by it. Volcanic terroir dominates almost to the point of obscurity, and it had strong lemon notes, hints of quince, and sea salt. It clashed with Mexican food (hey I knew that beforehand but didn’t think it would clash THAT bad, and usually pair Mexican with Riesling or Gewürztraminer) but I’m going to Greece soon and wanted to drink Greek wine. I drank half at a BYOB, took the bottle home(cont’d)

I've been interviewing with some companies, and now I have to decide between JPMorgan Chase and Globant.

Globant is more innovative, and has remote work. I will enter to work with a Sillicon Valley startup based in San Francisco. The tech stack is React, Nextjs, AWS, and a serverless architecture.

JPM is semi remote, and less innovative. The tech stack Java, SpringBoot and AWS. But I'd do more migration tasks, like dockerize projects and pass them to kubernetes. What would you choose?

My boss fired me because i ask for clarification on my employment right.

I got hired not long ago. I realise some of the employee benefits i was told (missing in the contract) contradict with what’s stated on the law. So i email the boss about it and ask for clarification. Immediately after the email i was fired.

Just want to make sure people know this and don’t apply jobs in this shady company- it is called UniQ Biotech, in Delta, BC, Canada
