Is it one of the infrastructure teams by any chance?

AIG as in the insurance company? I cloud tell you a bit

On the IT side pretty much everything is being taken over by Accenture under their managed services. They have let go of most of their people bar some core people. On comp I am being underpaid by a lot, in last 3 years my base has only gone up 8% total. Benefits are pretty good though CIO changes every 2-3 years, CIOs every ~2 year, they bring in their own people with new idea so can be frustrating Work Culture wise, Too many process and whitepaper people, not enough who do hands on work and have to actually implementation because a lot of the whitepaper knowledge goes out of the window due to the process they demanded to be implemented

What position or department are you looking to join at AIG? As you can imagine it's a massive company with many moving parts.

Part of the separation effort of the L&R biz

Given all the recent buzz about expected large raises around the big 4, I’d like to level set on the average salary for a 4th/5th year female senior manager in federal tax ( credits & methods group) in the Midwest - Chicago/Minneapolis/Detroit market. Anyone willing to share a range if they work in a similar area of tax / similar level? I recognize all groups vary greatly in salary expectations, so looking for input specific to my area. Current expectations set at 140-160k. Reasonable?

We have a fixed PTO time plan (very generous) but leftover rates by now are enormous. It’s gonna be about 160 hours of unused PTO per employee in the end of the year, and we only rollover 80. I feel like I’m on the outside looking in and I don’t like what I see. I haven’t returned to teaching this year because I was overwhelmed by what was being asked of us and chose to use all of my sick time instead. It’s the Stockholm Syndrome for education. We provide a valuable service. Remember that.

I worked for Deloitte and currently with PwC. I’m not comparing both but PwC is too worse in terms of work life balance and work culture. If Deloitte is given 90, PwC might get something between 20-30 is what I feel. All they need is robots working for their tasks.
