Need some advice here. I am a fullstack developer with 5 yoe in Angular and Python. My aim is to crack FAANG companies. Now I got an offer from HSBC in a credit risk model monitoring role using Python. It is close to a data engineer role.
My question is that will it be a good idea to shift from development role to a model monitoring role if I want to move to FAANG in the future?Or does FAANG not prefer people who are not in core development roles?Amazon Microsoft Google Adobe PwC EY Citi Barclays JPMorgan Chase

+1 for scheduled sending Monday morning. I'd do it sometime after 10 AM when it's likely the recruiter will have already sifted through their inbox.
I don't think there's anything wrong with writing back on a Sunday in terms of etiquette. But in practical terms, it may be a bad idea. Unless you think perhaps they're the kind of person who checks their work email on Sunday night. If they don't seem that fixated, wait until lunchtime on Monday. Your email won't get lost in all the Monday morning junk in their mailbox.
I would respond on a Sunday. I wouldn't send out an initial email on a Sunday
If you can, schedule send it for Monday morning so it’s not buried deep in their inbox when they log on tomorrow.
I don’t think it’s a big deal as long as you’re not expecting an immediate response! I’ve emailed recruiters on weekends before, and some have even gotten back to me, so I say go for it if you're feeling up to it. Just keep in mind they may not reply until the workweek starts!
You don't want your email buried under all the other weekend emails. I'd wait until Monday morning so that it's on the top when the recruiter starts checking.
