Anyone from EYP…I’m applying to “Strategy & Transactions Working Capital Consultant/Senior”. I have the experience, six sigma, PMP etc stated in the description. How can I proactively position myself to earn the interview? I’m afraid I might get auto rejected because I have way more than 2 years experience, but I know industry experience is weighted different. Appreciate any help, insight, or anyone willing to chat. He's annoying, not funny, not entertaining and I will not waste precious minutes watching his show. Could not care less about Tomi and her constant outrage either. Actually, come to think about it, the two are probably a match made in wannabe pundit heaven...
Dissing Trevor is a deflection to the actual conversation (because issues of race are amazingly taboo), and to paint some picture that Trevor and Tomi are "two sides of the same coin" is patently false - kinda how people say BLM = KKK. Anyway... lol.
1) respectability doesn't actually facilitate discussion - being nice and patient (Trevor) in the face of someone blatantly incendiary (Tomi) isn't going to push them to understanding.
2) tomi's hustle is pushing a specific narrative, so having a "dialogue" with someone like that isn't productive.
3) people don't believe what they believe based on facts, they make the majority of their judgments based on feelings (Tomi made a ton of false statements)
4) While kinda entertaining, it wasn't meaningful. Those against tomi's "perspective" aren't about to change and the people on tomi's side aren't going to see that and suddenly say "wow, that African boy really educated her".
Was his best showing yet.
The only good point Tomi made throughout the whole interview was when she said 'There are 1000s of people waiting in line, trying to fulfill their American dream the legal way. Going to universities here, getting jobs legally here. What would you say to all those people when someone cuts in front of them illegally and gets the easy way out?'. I completely agree with that. America is a nation of immigrants, built by immigrants. Everyone in this country, white or otherwise has their roots in some other country as well, it they look back far enough. No country should have open borders. About refugees, I know we should take them in ("let your young and weak and hungry come to me, and I will give them rest"), but we do need to do our due diligence in the vetting process.
P2, I was waiting to see if they start furiously kissing each other towards the end. That would be entertaining.
Trevor was condescending. And when he was asked to answer something by Tomi, he just smirked and went 'we can go on and on about this!'
Having said that, I'm definitely on the side Trevor represents, and Tomi just seems unintelligent and stubborn. She can talk eloquently, for sure. Giving a false illusion of being well read and intelligent.
🍿
Trevor's awesome. I want to buy him beers.
Without getting into the issues, I thought Trevor was actually a bit condescending and tomi maintained her professionalism the entire time. What does everyone else think?
Was with Trevor the whole way til the end when he said coming into the country illegally is one way for people to achieve the American dream. Can't get on board with that but it was interesting to see two people on diff sides having a civil back and forth
I'm not deflecting. They're equally awful. Both live in echo chambers and are close-minded to opinions that differ from their political stances. They both prey on the divide in America in hopes that their ratings jump because of it. They're opportunists, bottom feeders, and nothing about that is "patently false."
There wouldn't be so many posts about Trev if he wasn't black. Honestly that's the only reason a lot of folks hate him.
^ you're clearly trolling. 😂
I'm honestly not trolling. I agree with OP^
@OP she wasn't eloquent at all lol. I guess we have diff definitions. Also, comedians are condescending by nature. It comes with making jokes.
Trevor Noah is equally as bad as Tomi lahren??? How sway?? Lolol. One is making statements based on facts and not the other is making statements based on prejudice and fear. That *is* a deflection technique and greatly minimizes the racist rhetoric that Tomi is pushing. Nah bruh.
@A1 facts only because if Trevor took the same tone that Tomi took in that interview they would be calling him a bully. This is unconscious bias at its finest. Tomi is petite and blond so she doesn't come across as threatening. Trevor, even while being calm and respectful is still condescending lol. Amazing.
