Hi all,
I’m looking to relocate to Seattle. Does anyone know if any of the Big 4 are still recruiting campus hires to start in Summer/Fall 2023? I’m open to either Audit or Tax, but I have internship experience in Tax.
I applied and received an offer at a Big 4 in San Francisco (campus hire), but I’ve decided Seattle is the better fit for me as it will be closer to my hometown and family in Vancouver.
Thanks!

Anyone have experience working CWX side of Facebook (Meta) ? These are the full time contract roles that potentially turn into permanent roles directly with Facebook (Meta). Had a recruiter reach out and offering me comparable TC and such, just curious if anyone has experience in these roles and success/failure of transitioning into permanent role. Thanks in advance!

OP - This is way off base and has been thoroughly discussed for causes and impacts already. They also get new appointments from the mayor, who supported the recall. It’s a hard decision to say is indicative of anything.

Ok….
I live in SF. I have kids in SF. I am lucky enough to work for BCG and be able to afford to send my kids to private school. Many of my high school friends and extended family did not have the same luxury.
Does anyone here have ANY idea how frustrating it was to be a parent in SF in the last two years because of this incompetent board? Especially an Asian parent??
The people going on about MAGA funding and dark money and right wing… have ZERO idea what parents have gone through.
How in the world can anyone be opposed to the recall knowing the following points
- The board refused to discuss or make plans for school reopenings. They flat out refused to even have an agenda item about it! That too in a city that has done very well through Covid!! We never had a surge like NYC or Chicago! Restaurants and dance floors were open and the school board still refused to DISCUSS reopening. How in the world can any parent standby and be okay with that?
- A board member called Asians house n*****s in a tweet. Then defended the tweet. Then tried to sue the school district for $87M when she was forced to step down. That is $87M for a racist bigot, FROM the funds that should be used towards educating the children. Does anyone really think we should keep these people in power?? Why?! What happened to your liberal values of dignity, equality and equity, respect?
- The whole renaming of schools was ridiculous but I could have overlooked that by itself. It’s the hypocrisy of virtue signaling with renaming schools named after Lincoln, when you’re literally keeping minority children out of schools for two years!
The most active contingent of voters against the recall were Asian parents. I saw them organizing in the streets and really committing to changing things. Good on them!
It’s blind and stupid to look at this election and blame trump voters or whatever else establishment democrats try to come up with. That is how you lose the midterms.

This is spot on. Also, they wanted to change the admissions process from merit based to a lottery for the most prestigious schools which largely affects Asian Americans.

I seriously can’t believe that multiple progressives here won’t accept the idea that normal people are fed up with both parties. Are you really so locked into your ideology that ANYONE who disagrees with your team must be a radical far right Trumpster?
Your lack of thinking and seriousness is illuminating. Get used to disappointment in the real world.
SVP1 that isn’t true at all in SF. The BOE is a stepping stone to visibility and notice from the Democrats. Look it up. It’s an attractive role for that specific reason, which is why we get the people we do.

Do you guys start multiple topics here when something bad happens to people whose politics you agree with, or do you all just flock to single stories that confirm your biases?
In NYC, every right wing school board candidate got beaten. Did you post about that being a rejection of right wing policies? Would you have accepted it as evidence?
Or, perhaps, Republicans won a popular vote for presidency twice in about 40 years. Does that tell you anything, or will you handwave that away while focusing on a school board in California?

I came to the comments in hopes someone would translate original post
Which, regardless of politics, is kind of ironic with OP implying so many are dumb

We had this same ridiculous post yesterday. Stop watching OAN on DVR

This isn’t OAN lol. Keep your head in the sand though. It’s going to be worse in November.

Democrats are rejecting progressives and leftists. They aren’t rejecting democrats.

Sf the most progressive city in the country. But they wanna act like it was maga people that voted 😂😂

It was literally a MAGA billionaire funding this.

How is this #bothsides? I only see the left clearly rejecting radicalism, meanwhile the right is embracing it.
Finally some push back. More SF politicians should get kicked out

So…people demanding their locally elected officials to adapt and change course due to new realities is a bad thing?
Not sure I am tracking. What’s the alternative? Just save face and resist changing course?
Rising Star
You’re obviously not tracking.
Try again.
