I know people with 3-4 years PM experience making $140k in Bay Area at tech companies. Maybe you could’ve squeezed an extra $10-15k but it sounds like a great opportunity.
Yeah I think this year the market is really hot so I wanted to make the most of it! My data analytics experience in consulting is relevant to the role and I have a Masters degree which is also relevant. (It’s a data solutions product management role that required analytics experience) But you’re right, Its definitely a great opportunity. I’m very happy! Might try and get some sign on bonus at the least.

Checkout levels and h1bdata to find out how much ppl in ur band are making and negotiate accordingly. Good luck!
Honestly the market is so hot right now, within reason, say what you want confidently. If they cant do it, keep looking. Someone will scoop you up. More jobs than people right now. Now's your big chance!
Right? I don’t mind taking it and switching in an year if not, but doesn’t hurt to try! Probably won’t get too many other PM offers immediately without sufficient experience though.
If this is helping you to get into a relevant role that aligns with your career goals then I wouldn't get too hung up on compensation. Also, if you might leave in a year or two I'd push for a higher base and sign on while letting them know you're not as concerned with the bonus or equity (reasoning can be that their value is variable).
So not sure if It’s unreasonable for me to get back with a higher number adjusted to the Bay Area if I’m the one who asked for relocation. I see folks with similar experience getting 165 at visa and much higher at other tech companies with additional stock options. I’ve heard Visa doesn’t do raises well so would like to get the best offer right now. Any tips would be appreciated! TIA!! ☺️
