Yes! The old city is pretty nice. But it’s small and I wouldn’t stay for more than a weekend

Yep. Good times! Plenty of food, meat is cheap. Also - wish I'd been when I was single...

Any tips for singles visiting Riga😉

Yeah. Riga and tallin in the same trip.
Both great

Is there a polite way to ask the SM if we can work out of our city office instead of the sad suburban office that’s closest to him and the partner? Majority of the team lives way closer to the city office. I chose my home office and did not expect to have to travel just to work with my team in the office. It’s one thing to travel to client site (obviously part of the job), but another to have to drive out just to work with my team. I wish that would’ve been communicated to me before I started.

I have great friends who’d INSIST I join them if they found out I’d be alone, but I wouldn’t be comfortable celebrating with a friend’s family bc of the gift situation and potentially awkward convos around why I couldn’t be with my family.

Additional Posts in European Consultants

Long shot but asking anyway: has anyone in here successfully moved into a European practice from the UK (as a non-EU citizen) post brexit either changing firms or as an internal transfer?

Is it possible? If so, how was the bureaucracy? Any regrets?

I am thinking of exploring this as the UK is becoming slowly more frustrating to live in. I speak fluent English, French and German and have a masters in European Political Economy as well as 3 YOE as a consultant so am not a complete chancer.
