Trying to decide if I can get into RA for life sciences/healthcare or a tech-related company, not sure which way to go so any advice/insight would be welcome

Hi, I'm working with the EY UK in finance transformation consulting. Wanted to ask, how feasible is it to get a gig with the US firm? Since consulting has many opportunities across the pond, wanted to gain US experience as well.

Recommendations for books and podcasts on business, strategy, management, etc. that have helped your career?

Is studying for (and hopefully passing) the CFA a good alternative to an MBA for career advancement?

Currently in M&A advisory. Not looking to move into research or portfolio management, just seeking to add an "advanced degree".

I would love to go back to school, but cost and my location - not near any major schools - have kept me from applying. I have considered Kellogg's eMBA in Miami.

Ex-consultant now in marketing. Used to be an avid follower here and got great insights on companies when trying to exit consulting so thought I’d try here for advice. Outside of FAANG, what are good large CA-based tech companies that provide good pay, WLB, and culture? DD has great people and WLB, but pay is low and you’re not given the tools and resources to succeed + truly make an impact. Google and Apple are ideal but need backups. Like is Salesforce still good? A company along those lines.

Once you join a MF in Europe in investment team, how common are lateral moves? Can you get go up a level if you make one and have some years of experience?

Working on some law firm applications tonight and it sucks that I know that I am so capable and have a strong work ethic but firms can’t see beyond grades or the fact that I didn’t go to a t14 law school or prestigious undergrad. I’ve worked twice as hard and feel like I’ve barely even gotten half as much. It’s discouraging sometimes especially because I worked so hard with pretty much no guidance (first gen, poc, low-income) to get into college and do well and then get into a t30 law school

Accounting and tax prep for growers - is it something to get into since so many states are easing up restrictions?? Currently in FL, but wonder if I need to move to get the skill set and then come back when it is fully legal here.

I’ve now been a B2B2C Key Account Manager at a Fitness Tech scale up for 6 mos and would like to be making more $ so am considering applying to other B2B SaaS companies. I currently own the entire (long) sales cycle from prospecting to account management. I’d like to stay in a similar role in another company. Will I have a difficult time landing an SDR/BDR, AE or CSM role elsewhere? I’m a 48 yo female.

1st yr at a nyc v50 firm doing general transactional work. I know the lateral market for transactional lawyers is hot but not as hot for juniors. I just want a change of scenery because my current firm is bleeding good associates / not giving great training imo / and just seems small. Would lateralling this early feasible? Would it look bad on my resume?

So I was offered a role in Strategy Consulting in after 2 years in Risk Consulting however, after 2 years I’ve only worked on Internal audit engagements few ad hocs such as updating risk register and the delegation of authority matrix.

Honestly speaking I am doing good and I am up for promotion in October however I am not fully enjoying my time but I fear that the move would not be a good and I can’t hit the ground running which scares me.
