No rule it depends how good is your profile and how desperate is the HR to hire
Chief
All depends on your profile and if you made any such quick jumps. It will depend on demand and how good interviews went.
But generally companies do not prefer giving hikes to someone who is switching too soon as it looks like you moving just for money . Again there are exceptions as sometimes someone would have joined for a low salary in a small organization and the new organization would give a good hike as they want to ensure you join for certain.
Market is cool now and so I doubt you can get a big hike unless you current salary is very low.
Also what will you say if they ask you why you quitting just in 6 months? It's a tough question to answer. Because if u say wlb or tech stack etc then they will say ok we will give you no hike or small hike but since project is good or wlb is good join us. If you say you moving for money it will anyway look bad and they won't hire you.
I just went through this recently and joined a new firm with 10% hike after 5 months.
Yeah, this will be challenging. I want to switch only for pay.

Always work on skills money is just a byproduct.
Following rat race will not lead you success in long run.
