Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

I've been with the firm for about a year. I feel like I was given ample resources to succeed and mentorship from those above me. I haven't seen anyone get pip'd, so I'm not sure if that's a thing or not. I'm now being given the opportunity to reciprocate the experience with new colleagues below me. Definitely feels like a healthy environment to develop your skills.

I think culture is great. Everyone is ready to help and there are plenty of opportunities to learn in trainings, on pitches, on the job, etc. Only issue I’ve seen is for people in more senior roles that just didn’t end up being a fit.
Can you elaborate on some of the misfits you’ve seen?
From a NACR perspective, coming in with very little debtor-side rx experience can be tough. Lender-side or UCC work can be helpful experience but debtor side is different. I think the ones who haven’t worked out probably are hired in at a level or 2 too high so expectations are high. But this is rare and overall, A&M wants their people to succeed and provides plenty of resources to make sure that they do.
How is onboarding? In-person at all? Or just all over Zoom still.
