Wanted to share about my job search experience, and happy to answer any questions. Over the last 18 months interviewed with the following companies and failed - McKinsey, BCG, KPMG, Oracle, Google, Invesco, Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, Amazon, North highland, Microfocus, Atlassian, Orange, equifax, and a few others. Most of these are senior level positions, so interviews were tough. Didn’t get the job for one or the other reason. Finally accepted a offer with a large tech company. Keep on trying..

I was just offered a sales consultant role at a spirit’s distributor 65K with potential to make 75K if I meet goals etc. My dream job @ Red Bull, Similar role but way more fun around the same range of $$ possibly slightly more ..am still waiting to hear if I made it to the final round. I have until Friday to respond and Red Bull said they would let me know IF I made it to the final round by Friday.. should I reach out to Red Bull if I have not heard by Wednesday that I need to make a decision?

Has anyone else worked two programming roles at one time?
I currently work as a Contracted Software Engineer and I’m set to finish my contracted time at the end of October. To stay ahead of game I started to move forward in the interview process with another opportunity as an Application Software Programmer and just received notification that I got the position. I definitely could use the extra paycheck to help out with my financial obligations. Just wanted to see if anyone has done this before.

Final round! Panel interview w an assignment to present some ideas on how to increase customers for 1 of 5 key audience segments.
I’m most familiar with 1 as it’s the audience I work with at current job. Not enough info/experience with other 2 segments. Remaining segments I know enough but not as confidently.

Will it look like I took the easy way out if I chose my segment? They know it’s my current audience and has been for 8 yrs. Would love to hear your thoughts!

Doge in the top 30! That, and the fact that my 70 yr old mother in law bought some of everything on coinbase should signal the beginning of the end.

My son made 11k on Doge but it is a joke coin. Put some money into SHIBA another joke coin. I knew all the cryptos would come back after the big fall. It was an opportunity to buy. Polygon has held up through all this because of the news from Deutche Bank. Look at the real cryptos. Bought these.

After you moved in-house, how did you get more comfortable reviewing contracts or counseling on issues you weren’t super familiar with? I was very specialized at my law firm and took a similarly specialized role in-house….but I still get requests to mark-up types of agreements that I never touched at my firm. Student loans question: my sister has $100K in loans. She has $15-20K sitting in her bank account. The question that I’d like your guys’ input on is whether she should reduce her principal (and thereby total interest payments) by paying down debt lump sum ASAP or is she better off chipping away where certain months she adds on $500-$1000 to her fixed payment? She wants the flexibility of having a rainy day fund but also wants to payoff debt ASAP. Any guidance would be appreciated!
