I’m 47.5 and had the same experience, only 2 left. I’m tapping out. No more for me. But I’m also not interested in donating them to anyone/research yet nor destroying them anytime soon. Maybe when I’m older? But I’ve just decided the storage payment is worth the cost of my indecisiveness. 😂 🤷🏻♀️
lol same, not comfortable with any of those options either. Felt silly for continuing to pay storage fees but glad to see I’m not the only one!
I have not figured this out yet either! None of the options really feels right.
I’m considering a compassionate transfer when I’m done having kids. Somehow the thought of just discarding them seems wrong.
When you transfer your remaining embryos at the time of your cycle you’re least likely to get pregnant
Same here! I am comfortable donating to a friend / relative / single mom may be. Can not discard and doubt I can have more kids. All PGT … is tough
Start with your OBGYN, they may be able to narrow down some things that may be covered by your health insurance because they were performed by your OBGYN. Fertility Treatments (including tests/xrays/procedures) are very expensive and usually not covered by health insurance (unless you're in a state that requires they be covered). Then ask your OBGYN for a referral to a fertility specialist especially one with good outcomes.
The expertise of fertility specialists, labs and centers is NOT the same at every clinic...some doctors truly are experts and have a lot of experience and research to support their success...others are just trying different approaches.
