We've been having a hard time finding the right candidates for our team, and we just signed on a new client whose needs simply cannot be met with the number and skill set of our current team. The HR team is working their best, but do the recruiters here have any ideas on how we can achieve this in the fastest and most efficient way?

What kind of candidates are you looking for?

The market is flooded with talented candidates. Either your recruiters don’t know what to look for, your job descriptions / titles are too specific and not surfacing the right candidates, your interview process is asking the wrong questions / looking at the wrong things, or you’re simply not paying enough.

So which is it?

like

Tough situation! To move quickly, focus on targeted outreach, tap into industry networks, reach out to freelance pools, and I think a good way to do this is referral programs.. You might even widen the search to people from adjacent creative fields. Streamline the interview process as much as possible and be super clear about project expectations to attract motivated candidates.

Let people work full remote, watch the applications flood in

I am working as a software engineer for 2 years. And work on two companies including my current organization. First one was a micro-scale startup where they don't provide any payslips or PF at all.

I got a referral for
Accenture from this group. Today an HR called and told me because of not having the payslips and PF deductions from my fist company, they cannot proceed with my profile. What is happening in this field all of a sudden?

Can anyone give it a bit elaboration?

I am currently a CPA debating if I should work towards a CIA certification.

If I read this correctly I can forgoe some of the CIA exam since I am already a CPA. Is this correct?

Got an offer from a startup for 19.5LPA.
Its base is 15L, and I'll be getting 124800 in-hand.

I have 3.5 yoe in typescript/react/NEXTjs fullstack. Out of which only 10 months are on a full time role, rest of time was freelancing.
I am also an open source contributor for some NEXTjs related tooling.

Is this a good offer?

I left my old job the end of January (due to compensation) and hate my new job. I don’t sleep and am constantly stressed. I have been interviewing since May, but I can’t seem to find a good fit that has an insurance Plan that fits my needs. I am thinking about reaching out to my old job (very small and tight knit) to see if there’s a position available for me still. They told me there would be when I left…what is the best way to go about this?

I’ve noticed that HR, when explaining why a candidate didn’t get the job, tend to lean on “You’re great, but we had candidates with more experience in [skill relevant to the job].” I do believe this is true in some cases, but it can’t possibly be for all of them.

HR folks — what feedback have you obscured by offering that line instead?

I’m reviewing my resume getting ready to start my job search and have a question for recruiters, hiring managers. I’m looking for a role brand-side not agency side. Specialist roles aside, such as digital, when you see someone describing themselves as a “generalist marketer” is this a resume you’d pass on? My past roles have been such that I do a lot of marketing projects, tasks etc. but I’m not a specialist. I’m worried if I use this terminology I won’t even be considered for a role. Thank you

Have an offer from a dream company but I'll need to go in at a lower level. Knowing that I can bring a lot of value to the company (read- I know my worth), I negotiated with the hiring manager to have a level/comp review 6 months after employment. If I hit all my goals (ie, prove myself) within that time frame, I'll get a promotion and salary adjustment.
QUESTIONS:
Should this be in writing in the offer letter?
How detailed should it be? I assume I won't know what goals to set till I start...
