Graduated from Babson College (MA, US) in 2014. Became passionate about the tech industry during my SY. Came back home (I don’t live in the US) and worked for a family member for four years (non-tech). Left in 2018, started working on my first startup (TravelTech). Shelved in March 2020 due to Covid. Huge pivot - started working on my second startup (DeliveryTech). Failed, wrong market.

What’s my next move? I’m thinking about grad school + working in the US post graduation. Cheers!

Does anyone have advice on how to keep track of cases? I am 6 months in at a small med/insurance firm. When we are assigned cases by clients, it's my job to request and organize the medical records. We're starting to get dozens of COVID cases, in addition to regular litigation cases, and I am SO OVERWHELMED. I'm currently in a "paralysis-over analysis" stage and don't know how to get myself out of it. I feel like I'm drowning, help.

I'm a bankruptcy pro who excels at generating clients for firms in a one call close process. Given Covid-19 there is going to be a spike in business. Is there any firm out there who wants to build a consumer bankruptcy division looking for a Director of Operations who can build a practice group from start to end?

16 weeks and so worried all of the stress I’m under is going to hurt the baby. Between work, my own scary (non-pregnancy) health stuff, the pandemic, my mom (who is a widow and lives alone, basically isolated by choice due to covid) is having health issues, and pressures to keep billable hours up, I’ve been having complete breakdowns. Today I spent almost the entire day crying and now have to make up the billable time this weekend. I really worry abt what effect this will have on the babe.

Just had my raise/bonus discussion with the partner for my move from S3 -> M1 at PwC. The partner was unsure if PwC still gave a first year manager bonus. I know it used to be 20% bonus at the end of the first year. Does anyone know if that perk is still around or if COVID robbed me of that?PwC

Tips to stay motivated and cut procrastination? I started a new client side job remotely a few months ago at the beginning of covid. I know that I'm extremely lucky to have landed a role during shutdown, but lately my motivation has taken a hit. My entire team of two people is new, and it's definitely been odd to onboard remotely. Things are not as fast paced or as exciting as agency side, but I have also been dragging out tasks due to procrastination and just feeling lost. How can I do better?

While taking my < 2 year old daughter for a surgical consult, I was informed the hospital instituted a 1 parent only rule last week so I would not be permitted to enter the patient room. I am however allowed to sit in the waiting room 50 feet away while my wife takes my daughter in to see the doctor.

Have we completely lost our mind on Covid protocols?

Hey everyone, this has been a challenging year with Covid-19 and an election.

I'm sure your pipelines have also suffered. I figured this would be a good time to see what is working for others and what isn't.

I am crushing the cold calls with not a ton of traction while trying to stay active on LinkedIn.

How is everyone else doing? I am working at a hybrid RIA btw.

Our 5 month old started daycare about 5 weeks ago. We’ve already had to keep her home for 2.5 of those 5 weeks due to catching various illnesses (croup, rsv, brinchiolitis, etc). Both my wife and I have been sick most of that time as well (gotten it from the baby). Wife is thinking we get a full time nanny for the next 4 months to help the baby build antibodies. Cost aside, is this feasible / worthwhile to go thru the effort / finding the right fit, only for 4 months?

Currently a consultant at a B4, going to Stanford GSB in the fall, with goal of transitioning to VC. What are some steps I should take now proactively to best position myself for transitioning into VC?

For context, I do have startup experience (2.5 years founding a startup that I then left for consulting, startup is still going strong now with other cofounders, ~$30M in valuation). Most of work in consulting was technology strategy and some operations (cost-cutting, etc.).

Thanks in advance!

Hi fishes,
I have resigned tcs because of a offer from nagarro.
My manager introduced someone to discuss about retention. He asked my offer letter to share. I told him it is confidential data but, he said that "it is fine, many people are sharing it". So I shared that

Will there be any issue for me since, I have broken tcs core values of confidentiality ?

Will they contact Nagarro for verification?

I met with a career coach for the first time about a month ago, and have had 4 sessions. Thankfully it was as part of a program where I’m not out of pocket for their fees - because this person seems to have no clue about.. well.. much?
