Not working and being able to travel and pursue my activities and some volunteering sounds great. Aging alone, as a single gay guy who never had a relationship, kind of scares me, especially once I hit old age and lose my parents.

Planning on 60, hoping for 59(pension vesting) - 56 now

Am 55. Perhaps 60-62. I already feel exhausted from the unreasonable demands on my time from every direction. What do you think OP?

63. Five years to go.
Strange thing is I feel like I’m getting my second wind. Let’s see how long it lasts.

65-67. Depends how my portfolio looks at that time, as the past year performance definitely has set me back by 6-12 mo. Would consider transitioning to a part time role of some type earlier.

55 now. Will be 58 when I retire from the Army Reserve. Will be 70 when I retire overall.

58 or 59, when I know my youngest has enough to get thru college without more from me.

60. I’m ten years away and it suddenly seems frighteningly close.

Texas drivers…honest question. Why, why in tf do people just camp in the left lane? I’m talking doing maybe 5 mph over the limit in the left lane when people want to go faster and they can get over?? I can’t always see around and sometimes on hills I can see that one jackass is holding up a line of cars. What gives???

How do I figure out spending with my SO? Initially I was paying for 90% of stuff (no actual bills, just going out). I talked to her and said we need to be more even. She was never proactive. She kind of got offended but we ended on a good note to split things. It went well for a couple weeks but now it's back to normal. She never takes out her card and only venmos me if I send her the request. She lets Venmos sit for weeks before paying them. I still let a lot of things slide.
