I’m a 7th year associate. I’ve practiced L&E my entire career in big law for large multi-national companies. I like my job, but I’m burned out. I have two kids under two and will, in all likelihood, go for gold and make it three under three to be done. I’m over traveling. I’m over traveling for trials. I’m over litigation in general. I want to switch sides of the v and open my own firm. I’m digging into how feasible this would be for me. Does anyone have any good resources? Books, podcasts, etc

Hi All, Just finished the process with Alix tech & Digital practice (VP) and A&M PEPI (SA) and got an offer from Alix and waiting for the salary details from A&M. I wanted to know your thoughts regarding the salary expectations for A&M (Their HR didn’t flinch when I asked a salary +15K more than Alix in base)? Do you think they can offer that in PEPI ? Whats a good way to transition from Technology to Strategy consulting?

I'm early in my career, managed to save $30K to invest, and want to get my hands dirty with a rental property without too much risk (e.g. no HML/flipping). It sounds like that's a tall order in the NY/CT area given the prices, not to mention whether I'd be able to get a mortgage on anything below $100K, but I figure I'll give it a shot anyway. Any advice on what you might do in my position? Am I being crazy with this idea?

In my opinion, if I’m looking to leave it is because I’m unhappy and excited about the new role I’ve been offered.
