What are some exit opportunities for SAP Consultants...especially if you're no longer interested in SAP?

Has anyone else had a mentor (assigned to them by the Company) who seemed to have it out for you? I mean downright sabotage to make you look bad left and right. I didn’t realize it at first. She was fake friendly, but she was discrete too. Some of the executives thought she was amazing, but I had to clean up her work all the time. She wasn’t above me either on the chain of command. Later I found out she had tried for the exec assistant role and they didn’t choose her, they wanted me instead.

It's sad to see people with 2-3 years of experience getting paid more than you when u have double the experience. 😄 Best part is they are still complaining of getting less. Well I guess you should never settle. New gen is giving a hard time to the experienced folks. I think this is the high time to upgrade your skills. Come out of your comfort zone and start looking for new opportunities. I think this is the best time to switch if u haven't already in quite some time.

I’m an FA at ML, been in the role for 1 year and 8 months, but have 23 years of industry experience. Quarterly, I have a performance review call with my Market Executive and until today never heard anything negative… my growth is slower than I’d like and definitely I’m sure that’s why, but today he said last time “they” wanted to give me a letter of education and he talked “them” out of it. First of all, who is “they” / “them” and what would the letter of education be for? Any thoughts?

Landed a contract role at Deloitte via MBO Partners for an audit senior role. MBO is making me a W-2 employee for MBO, but I am getting paid $125/hour plus overtime. Am I missing something here or am I about to be making $5K/week (or more with OT)? Anyone have any experience with MBO or doing contract work like this? Obviously way more than I'd make if I stayed at KPMG for busy season.

Hello! Looking for some guidance. I will soon be leaving Verizon after 15 years with them (6 years HR experience, 3 years Operations, 6 years leadership). The last HR position I held will be eliminated and I was offered a severance. I am now in the market for a new place of employment I can call home. I was thinking of trying for a start up. I recently interviewed for a position I was excited about. I like my job but this position seemed like a great fit. I met with five different individuals including a partner. Everyone was extremely nice. I received positive signaling and found out almost a week later that I didn’t receive the position. I have absolutely no idea why. Is it typical for companies to make you go through so many different interviews only to reject you?

Just got another rejection... Is exiting to FAANG or MB really this hard? Trying to go tech.. or mbb, but not getting anywhere. I have 2 masters (mba, ms) from top schools, been in consulting for over 10 years, I am confident that I know my stuff well..but still I keep getting rejected. Interviewed with Google, Amazon, Cisco, McKinsey, and a few others and every-time there is something that is not a match... are the hiring managers looking for like 100% match? It seems like every time I log into LinkedIn the people who are “starting new positions” are people who already had jobs in the first place. I’m honestly ready to just give up.
